Activation and Usage


An eSIM is a digital SIM embedded within your mobile device. With Musafir eSIM, you can connect to a mobile network without needing a physical SIM card.


We strongly recommend installing your eSIM before heading to the airport, as a strong Wi-Fi connection is necessary for a smooth installation.


You can purchase an eSIM by visiting the Musafir eSIM website or downloading the app from the App Store or Google Play Store to get an eSIM for your next trip!


After purchase, you’ll receive a QR code by email. Simply scan the QR code to install your eSIM.

NOTE: A strong Wi-Fi connection is required for installation.


There are two main methods of installation:

  • Manual
  • QR Code

Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.

  • Disable your local SIM by turning off the blue toggle.
  • Enable your Musafir eSIM by turning on the blue toggle.
  • Return to Connections, tap Mobile Network, and activate Data Roaming.

NOTE: Activate the eSIM only upon arrival at your destination. If activated prematurely, deactivate Data Roaming until you reach your destination. For Regional or Global plans, installation on your travel day is recommended.


Go to Settings > Mobile Service.

  • Disable your local SIM by turning off the green toggle.
  • Enable your Musafir eSIM by turning on the green toggle.
  • Activate Data Roaming.

Go to Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data Network.


Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.

  • Tap the Menu button or + icon.
  • Tap new APN and add the APN.


Yes, you can install and manage multiple eSIMs, which is useful for frequent travelers or those with personal and business eSIMs. Check your device specifications for eSIM capacity.

Data Plans and Coverage


Yes. All packages, unless stated, are 500MB/day high speed and then refreshed on a 24hr cycle for the duration of your plan. However, if you exceed this limit within the 24hr period, you will still have data, but a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) will be applied by the local carrier.


Yes. However, if your local SIM is active, your provider may charge for data roaming, calls, and texts.


Musafir eSIMs are only compatible with eSIM-compatible devices and are not responsible if you have not checked before purchase.


Yes, you can. Simply enable the hotspot feature on your device and share your Musafir eSIM data as required.

No, Musafir eSIM packages are data-only.

Troubleshooting


Please check all folders in your email, including spam/junk folders. If you still don’t see it, reach out to us at enquiries@musfafirsolutions.com.


This sometimes happens if you install the eSIM before arriving at your destination. Don’t worry; activation will complete once you're within network coverage.


If you’ve lost your QR code, please email us at enquiries@musfafirsolutions.com or message us on our customer support number +447866 143484 and we will resend the code to you.


Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off. If that doesn’t work, restart your device. Data roaming must be enabled to use all functionality.


If your eSIM has stopped working, refer to our troubleshooting videos. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall the eSIM.


No, the eSIM will not activate, unless airplane mode is switched off.
